My work is grounded in a lifelong connection to gardening, plants, and the natural world. I design with a grower’s eye — understanding seasons, textures, and the beauty that exists even in winter’s quiet. This perspective shapes every arrangement I create.

I have relationships with dozens of farms & gardens throughout Annapolis, Baltimore, Edgewater, and the surrounding areas. These partnerships allow me to source the freshest, most seasonal flowers while supporting the growers who make our community vibrant. My design style is defined by sculptural texture, and a deep appreciation for nature’s palettes. I see beauty in every season — subtle, moody, bright, or unexpected — and translate that into florals that connect with the customer.

Every arrangement draws from the organic shapes of the garden: lush blooms, flowing greenery, and compositions that feel alive. I let each stem move naturally, creating work that feels fresh, effortless, and immersive.
Foam-Free & Eco-Conscious
I design without floral foam . I use sustainable mechanics reusable structures to minimize waste while supporting healthier design practices.

Who Is Romenta Plants?
Hi, I'm Alex, the florist and creative behind Romenta Plants. My journey into floristry began in 2018, when I transformed a small, weed-infested backyard in Washington, DC into an English-inspired urban cutting garden. I quickly found my passion in the art of growing and arranging flowers, spending hours each day immersed in nature. What started as a hobby soon became a calling.
Once a TV producer turned garden florist. After finding myself immersed in the dirt for 4+ hours a day, I dove headfirst into floristry, and now I specialize in creating natural floral arrangements for weddings and events.
I’m passionate about supporting local farmers and growers, so I work with seasonal, locally-sourced blooms whenever possible. Sustainability and organic practices are at the heart of my business—whether I’m foraging for wildflowers or carefully sourcing blooms, I strive to make sure my creations are as kind to the environment as they are to your celebration.
